Announcing Marvel Month 2.0

Hello everyone! First off, I want to take a moment to thank everyone for continuing to follow my blog, Cinema Spotlight. I’m in my third year with this little hobby of mine now and I appreciate the fact that I’m nearing 200 followers and that you’ve all taken the time to read, comment and even like my material every week. While I wish I could have more traction I can’t even begin to tell you how cool it is to know even one person reads this stuff, so I want to thank you very much for your continued support.

Last year to celebrate reaching a hundred followers I decided to do something to prepare for the biggest cinematic event of 2018, “Avengers: Infinity War”. I dubbed it “Marvel Month” and throughout that month I looked at the best and worst Marvel had to offer leading up the release of the film that went on to be my second favorite movie of the year. I had so much fun with it and I’m so excited for what “Avengers: Endgame” has to offer so I’m doing it all over again in “Marvel Month 2.0”.

Throughout the month of April I will be flooding Cinema Spotlight with Marvel related content including countdowns, a new Versus battle and even a new feature called “Flashback Review” where I look back at a past film more than ten years old and examine how well that movie holds up today. Unlike last year where I considered ALL Marvel movies, this year I will be focusing solely on the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I will also be posting special articles each week recapping different eras of the MCU timeline exploring events that led up to “Endgame”. These recaps will serve as summaries to remind you all what we’ve gone through to this point in timeline order and will delve into everything that happened leading up to each of the three “Avengers” movies so far. Look for Part One at the beginning of the month which will explore the MCU timeline from the debut of Captain America to the events of the first “Avengers” film. It will all conclude with my review of “Avengers: Endgame” at the end of the month.

Once again thank you all for continuing to support this blog. I have bigger plans for it later on down the road but for now I want to continue to provide content that explores my love of movies and allows you all to get a fresh take on today and yesterday’s cinematic offerings. As always I’m open to suggestions so please feel free to let me know anything you’d like to see me explore whether it’s Marvel movies, new Versus battles, or new options for Flashback Review in the comments below.
